As the A419 sweeps north-westward around Swindon on its way to Cirencester, a short detour finds you in the village of South Marston - in a rural setting yet within minutes of a major business centre.
South Marston offers many of the quintessential elements of village life - annual fete, flower show, parish church, gardening club, toddlers' group, youth club, primary school, pub, hotel and leisure club.
When Hills Homes first planned five new homes at St Julian's Close five years ago, it made the decision to donate the adjacent woodland to the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust so that it would be maintained as a haven for wildlife.
How to find St Julian's Close
By road from M4: Exit M4 (J15) and follow A419 towards Cirencester. Continue on the A419 for approximately 4 miles until you reach the exit on left signposted Oxford A420 (the White Hart roundabout). Take the exit then turn right at next two roundabouts continuing towards Oxford. After a very short distance, turn left at the next roundabout (opposite Sainsburys) into Thornhill Road and continue towards South Marston village. After approximately ½ mile turn left into St Julian's Close where the new homes will be found at the end of the close.
